Our 2022 Catalyst Hunter Pick Of The Year Tyranna Resources (ASX: TYX) is bringing out the helicopter as part of its next field trip to its Angolan lithium project.

TYX has to date, tested only 2% of the pegmatites that sit on its project. The areas tested to date were able to be reached by vehicle or walking; the remaining ~98% have yet to be tested primarily because of access being more difficult.

Some of TYX’s highest priority targets have never been explored across these five areas.

Today TYX confirmed that using a helicopter in its upcoming field program could test in “one day what would take at least a week if the inspection and sampling were completed on-foot”.

Below are the areas TYX will be targeting.

Ultimately TYX will be looking to identify potential drill targets for its next round of drilling.

At the same time, TYX will be upgrading and extending access roads as part of its preparation for its next round of drilling, which it expects to commence in May/June.

What’s next for TYX?

🔄 Metallurgical testwork

Metwork is currently in-progress and TYX says results are expected in late March or early April.

Metwork is when samples are taken from drill programs and then run through industry standard processing methods to see how much of the valuable materials can be recovered (in TYX’s case it's lithium).

Metwork can make or break projects, so we’ll be eying the recovery grades closely.

🔄 2nd drill program

TYX expects this program to start in May/June.
