Telecommunications innovator Vonex Limited (ASX:VN8) has today announced the first release of its latest technology, called Sign On Glass (SOG), an innovation designed to assist in the efficient management of the company’s new and existing customers.

SOG is available on all internet enabled devices and facilitates the sign up, activation and ongoing management of customers.

It is a paperless channel partner portal, using proprietary technology developed in-house to facilitate further customer-focused upgrade and deployment of VN8’s cloud-hosted PBX system.

Through the automation of this process, VN8 expects to increase channel partner opportunities and reduce handling inefficiencies. The company aim to drive further channel partner growth off the back of SOG’s launch.

Commenting on the release of SOG Vonex Managing Director, Matt Fahey, said “this is yet another example that the Vonex Technology Development Team is at the forefront of PBX development, deployment and support.

“This is a powerful interface which will enable IT companies to manage their clients’ telecommunications products within their existing IT business model. It is key to expanding our channel partner network, in particular to provide the IT managed service providers the real tools they need.”

How does it work?

VN8’s latest technology will be rolled out to its entire channel partner network and will provide more accurate provisioning and significantly reduce connection times, saving up to a week for typical orders.

Using the Sign On Glass portal, the company’s channel partners will be able to activate the entire range of products for their new and existing clients. Their existing client information will be available within the interface, allowing them to perform upgrades, additions and modifications.

VN8 plans to continue its development of the product, with an aim to provide a complete portal for each channel partner, which will check product availability and site readiness prior to sign up.

In addition, the technology will automate the dispatch of hardware and provide various reports to the channel partner. VN8 has commenced testing of these advanced features with hundreds of test applications used to date by the development team.

The performance and improvement of the SOG platform will be a focus for the company, both with live customer data as well as testing of new features, and it will inform the market of upgrades to the platform as they’re made.

It should be noted that Vonex remains a speculative stock and investors should seek professional financial advice if considering this stock for their portfolio.

VN8 reinforces its role in innovation

This launch is another example in support of VN8’s core objective to be a true innovator, not simply another provider, in the Australian telecommunications industry.

As evidenced, it can achieve this through its own in-house development team which reduces costs, efficiently manages sales and creates a faster, user-friendly experience for customers.

In future, the company will continue to release more technology, and added functionality and features to existing products — providing more tools to service its own direct customers while also enabling its crucial channel partner base to better service their clients.
