Hey! Looks like you have stumbled on the section of our website where we have archived articles from our old business model.
In 2019 the original founding team returned to run Next Investors, we changed our business model to only write about stocks we carefully research and are invested in for the long term.
The below articles were written under our previous business model. We have kept these articles online here for your reference.
Our new mission is to build a high performing ASX micro cap investment portfolio and share our research, analysis and investment strategy with our readers.

AZM has found multiple new geochemical anomalies at its Wa Gold Project in Ghana, allowing it to refine a number of targets for RC drilling.
AZM used low-cost, truck-mounted power auger geochemical sampling to explore 2,500 holes in soil and laterite covered areas, which created anomalous extensions to existing trends. The company has uncovered a number of new targets as it searches for minerals at its site in Ghana.
Testing by RC drilling will now be carried out as part of the next stage of evaluation of these targets. In addition, new exploration focus areas have been identified, including a 5km anomaly at Duri, and others at Piiri, Basabli Northwest and Yagha.
The Duri region gets AZM’s attention
Located 30km north of the Kunche district that contains the Wa project, the Duri region has emerged as an exploration target after analysis of field test results identified a number of anomalies forming almost a continuous 5km length.
A review of historical data from the area shows that there’s a likely ‘relay’ structure that has similarities to the Kunche-Bepkong area where AZM defined combined mineral resources of 996,000oz and ore reserves of 422,000oz.
Piiri prospect plans
The Piiri prospect, which is 4km northeast of the Duri Granite, is also due to be explored under a 240 hole auger geochemistry and regolith mapping programme that will begin soon.
Phyllites and arenites with concordant and semi-concordant quartz veining in a geological setting have already been confirmed following recent mapping. AZM says these results are also similar to the Kunche-Bepkong trend.
Yagha exploration
AZM has also completed a 217 hole auger programme 7km north of Kunche at Yagha, which found a 3.5km by 0.5km zone of anomalism that has a peak value of 853ppb Au.
Further exploration confirmed that the underlying geology is analogous with the Kunche-Bepkong host rocks. More auger drilling is now to take place to test for extensions of these anomalies, and if found, an aircore or RC programme will be carried out.
Basabli Northwest exploration
AZM also has further exploration scheduled for its Basabli Northwest area, which is 42km from Kunche. This 146 hole reconnaissance auger programme had seven fences of 800m – 1,000m line x 50m hole spacing, with peak values of 35ppb Au, 32ppb Au and 10ppb Au.
These results support an arsenic anomaly and follow up auger drilling has now been planned.
AZM’s Managing Director, Stephen Stone says the exploration results auger well for the company.
“These results highlight that combining our rigorous exploration approach with the Wa Gold Project’s underlying prospectivity continues to deliver new targets to underpin our track-record of delivering increases in mineral resources and ore reserves to support development.”
