Ardiden produces high grade lithium concentrate from Seymour Lake spodumene
Hey! Looks like you have stumbled on the section of our website where we have archived articles from our old business model.
In 2019 the original founding team returned to run Next Investors, we changed our business model to only write about stocks we carefully research and are invested in for the long term.
The below articles were written under our previous business model. We have kept these articles online here for your reference.
Our new mission is to build a high performing ASX micro cap investment portfolio and share our research, analysis and investment strategy with our readers.

Diversified minerals explorer and developer, Ardiden Limited (ASX:ADV) has received additional highly encouraging metallurgical test work results from Independent Metallurgical Operations (IMO), based in Perth, Western Australia for a composite bulk sample obtained from the North Aubry prospect at its majority-owned Seymour Lake Lithium Project in Ontario.
The HLS test work results from the spodumene samples provided to IMO have again indicated that the spodumene particles are well liberated at a relatively coarse particle size. These additional tests were undertaken to verify and expand on the metallurgical test results which were announced by ADV on 9 February 2017.
These results further support ADV’s position as an emerging international strategic metals company. With its focus being on the exploration, evaluation and development of multiple projects located in the established mining jurisdiction of Ontario, Canada, the company offers low sovereign risk exposure to emerging new age metals such as lithium and graphite.
Although, it is still an early stage company and investors should seek professional financial advice if considering this stock for their portfolio.
The Seymour Lake Lithium Project comprises 7,019 Ha of mining claims and has over 4,000m of historic drilling. Mineralisation is hosted in extensive outcropping spodumene-bearing pegmatite structures with widths up to 26.13m and grades of up to 6.0% Li2O. These high grade pegmatite structures have been defined over a 5 kilometre strike length.
Current test work using average input head grade of approximately 2.5% lithium dioxide
The current phase of test work is more comprehensive and is being undertaken on a broad range of ore samples with an average input head grade of approximately 2.5% Li2O. These tests will assist ADV in identifying the most appropriate recovery process for extraction of lithium from the spodumene ore at the Seymour Lake project.
Of significance is the fact that these laboratory tests having replicated the earlier metallurgical results, demonstrating the ability to produce very high grade lithium concentrate, and with grades of up to 7.23% Li2O achieved, this product is very close to pure form spodumene.
Indeed, the production of lithium concentrate at such a high grade is well over the industry standard of 6% Li2O, as required by most lithium end-users.
Commenting on the next phase of its metallurgical test work program, management said, “Ardiden will be investigating the lithium recovery rates and various extraction process options including gravity, flotation and magnetic separation processes to develop an optimum process flow sheet for the project.”
