Lithium and graphite explorer, Ardiden has identified multiple thick zones of graphite mineralisation of up to 61 metres in width at its Manitouwadge graphite project in Ontario. Management highlighted the fact that visible large flake graphite was present in numerous graphite domains.
The 22-hole diamond drilling program is designed to target the immediate project area around the Silver Star North prospect where drilling had previously intersected a number of high grade graphite mineralisation zones in 2015.
Logging from the first 11 diamond drill holes has delivered positive news for the group as they also indicate that mineralisation remains open along strike to the West, East and at depth.
Of course this is an early stage play and as such any investment decision should be made with caution and professional financial advice should be sought.
While assay results won’t be available until March, the drilling of a further 11 holes should indicate whether these early promising trends extend to other sections of the target zone.
Summing up these recent developments, management said, “The mineralisation intersected in the current diamond drilling program has to date surpassed expectations and verified the interpreted eastern section of the graphite mineralisation zones for a strike extension of over 600 metres”.
The 22-hole resource drilling program will form the basis of a maiden JORC 2012 Mineral Resource estimate which management aims to release by the second quarter of 2017.
