The Velpic Group (ASX:VPC) announced today that it had expanded its national sales team and strengthened its management structure by bringing in a Chief Technology Officer in a bid to further consolidate its position as a leader in E-learning services.

Velpic has appointed two Business Development Managers on Australia’s East Coast and relocated its National Sales and Marketing Manager to Sydney in order to fulfil its expansion goals.

The National Sales and Marketing Manager is company co-founder and director, Glen Moora who will play a key role in driving the national sales strategy by targeting enterprise clients and reseller partnerships.

Velpic began its reseller programme in early December.

The company has also appointed a CFO to ensure Velpic achieves and executes its business plan to take advantage of e-learning market opportunities.

Velpic’s eLearning platform provides a scalable, cloud-based training, induction and education solution for businesses. The platform enables businesses to create their own training lessons and distribute them via a range of devices to staff and contractors.

Also joining the BDM team are Lesley McCormack and Renee Thiedeman, who not only come with extensive contacts, but also backgrounds in sales and human resources.

HR is considered to be a first point of contact for Velpic’s initial enterprise sales growth as they have decision-making authority for Velpic’s eLearning platform.

“We are very pleased to have secured such high calibre business development managers. Being able to attract such sales talent is further validation from experts in our industry that Velpic has so much potential,” said Moora.

“The target is to firmly establish ourselves in these territories over the next six months and then look to roll Velpic’s strategy overseas to target a number of countries including New Zealand, Hong Kong, UK, South Africa and Singapore.”

Moora is also determined to help the company transition from private company to a listed high growth business.

To facilitate this, Velpic has also installed Justin Pante from Dash Digital into the role of CTO.

Pante recently held the position of Global Practise Head for Lab 49 in New York.

The new CTO has been tasked with driving the ongoing development of Velpic’s Version 3.0 eLearning platform, which will advance the company into the SME market.

The launch of version 3.0 is slated for Q3 CY2016.

One final appointment to see out the year is that of Daniel Rohr, who joins Velpic as a consultant to provide financial leadership and support for the CFO. Rohr was one of the faces behind eCorp Limited and as the CFO helped establish eBay Australia and ninemsn through joint ventures, as well as acquiring Ticketek.

Velpic Chief Executive, Russell Francis is pleased with the appointments.

“It is extremely pleasing to be able to accelerate the execution of the Company’s growth strategy so soon after listing on the Australian Stock Exchange. To have secured outstanding talent in our business development, technology and finance teams is a clear endorsement of Velpic’s appeal and opportunity for growth within the global Learning Management System market,” Russell said.
