Mozambi Resources (ASX:MOZ) has added additional drilling at its Nachingwea project in southern Tanzania to the slate, with an electromagnetic survey firming up additional targets.

The graphite player told the market today that it had conducted a ground electromagnetic survey over several areas, finding additional targets at the Namangale, Chidya, and Masasi prospects.

MOZ said that the results highlighted “significant conductive anomalies coincident with known areas of graphite mineralisation on each prospect”.

At both Chidya and Masasi, MOZ will now get to work on a trenching and pitting program to try and firm up drilling targets for further exploration.

At Namangale, however, it is getting ready to drill.

MOZ is currently drilling at the Chiwata prospect, and the latest ground EM result at Namangale spurred on the company to test the prospect with the drill bit.

The survey identified an areas measuring 1.8km by 800m, and MOZ said Namangale provided the “strongest magnitude target”.

The first round of drilling at Chiwata should be completed within weeks, after which the drill rig will move to Namangale.

The drilling

MOZ has previously extended the key strike length at Chiwata to 4km, and then to 7km as the result of electromagnetic surveys.

It had already taken the decision to drill at Chiwata, drilling for 2000m to 3000m in an effort to prove up a maiden JORC-compliant resource for the project.

MOZ started drilling a few days ago, targeting large to jumbo flake sizes previously brought up as part of sampling.

News of higher prospectivity at Namangale means MOZ will now drill at Namangale too.

It is unclear at this stage how many holes will be sunk or how deep they will go, and it is also unclear whether the drilling at Namangale will be folded into the results at Chiwata to inform the JORC resource.
