ASX junior Castillo Copper (ASX:CCZ) is now ready to kick off a second drilling program at the Cangai Copper Mine.
The CCZ drilling team have begun work on a 39-RC drillhole campaign. Considerable incremental preparatory work has gone into clearing new access tracks and shaping the 13 drill pads formulated into this current program.

The bulk of the new campaign will focus on three areas along the line of lode, targeting the supergene ore near legacy workings, as well as the massive sulphide intersections identified during the inaugural drilling campaign.

The underlying objective of this second campaign is to build on work completed to date and ultimately expand the Resource size.
CCZ chairman, Peter Meagher, said that the Board’s priority is to re-open Cangai Copper Mine. “The commencement of this second drilling campaign takes us one step closer to realising this strategic objective,” Meagher noted.
Meagher said that CCZ will keep shareholders informed of progress from the site as the campaign unfolds.
